Tell us about your morning routine.
What happens when an early riser with a perfectly organised life tries to manage an entire day before breakfast? Meet the CEO of Absolutely Everything, a woman with a cup of coffee, a timetable, and enough optimism to organise the universe!
I am convinced that mornings were invented by someone who had never tried to run a household.
At 5 a.m., I am awake, alert, and full of ambition. The day looks promising. I have plans, I have energy, and I am absolutely certain that today I will accomplish everything on my list.
By 5:15 a.m., I have mentally reorganised my entire life.
By 5:30 a.m., I had planned three meals, solved a problem nobody has mentioned yet, remembered something that needs doing next week, and My mental calendar remembers every birthday and anniversary, so nobody misses my wishes! π And amidst all my morning planning, one call is a must calling my mother. Because no matter how organised life gets, I will always be her daughter. β€οΈ
All this before breakfast!
My morning coffee is the only person in the house who listens to me without interrupting. I hold the cup, take a thoughtful sip, and imagine myself as a calm, sophisticated woman who has everything under control.
Then the real day begins.
The clock starts moving suspiciously fast. The to-do list looks at me with quiet accusations. And suddenly, I am giving instructions with the efficiency of an airport control tower.
Everything has a place. Everyone has a schedule. Even the morning sunlight seems to know where it is supposed to fall.
Honestly, if discipline could be bottled, my household could supply the entire neighbourhood!
And yet, somewhere between my carefully planned morning and the moment I step out, there is always one unexpected thought that arrives uninvited.
Did I forget something?
I stop. I check. I mentally replay the last fifteen minutes.
Everything is in order.
Of course it is.
I am not leaving the house until my brain has signed off on the entire operation.
Finally, I head out, ready to face the world with the confidence of someone who has already completed a full working day before most people have negotiated with their alarm clocks.
And the funniest part?
By evening, I will probably say, “Tomorrow morning, I must start a little earlier.”
Because apparently, I am not just an early riser.
I am an eternal optimist with a timetable.
My morning motto? Life may be unpredictable, but give me a cup of coffee, a little discipline, and fifteen minutes and I shall attempt to organise the universe.
No promises about the universe, though. It doesn’t always follow instructions! π.

You can organise the whole universe by 5.30, but one call to Amma still comes straight from the heart. I bet that is the one call where your timetable happily takes a back seat! π

That’s so sweet! π You’re right, nothing on my schedule matters as much as a call to Amma. That’s the one slot I never have to plan for, and it always makes the day better. Thank you for the lovely words! π
