The City I Have, The City I Miss..๐ŸŒฟ

Whatโ€™s one thing that would instantly improve your city?

My city has everything today, modern buildings, luxurious malls, beautiful cafรฉs, comfortable roads and almost every convenience one could ask for.

And yet, if I could change just one thing, I would bring back a little quiet.

I miss the evenings of my childhood when the streets smelled of rain, the neighbourhood lights slowly came on, and someoneโ€™s pressure cooker whistled from an open kitchen window.

I remember running downstairs without a phone, buying a โ‚น5 ice lolly, and sitting beneath the old tree near our house until my mother called my name from the balcony.

Back then, I didn’t know those ordinary evenings were precious.

Today, the city is brighter, faster, taller and somehow, a little lonelier.

If I could change just one thing, I wouldn’t change its buildings or its luxuries.

I’d bring back one small corner where we could sit, breathe, and feel at home again.

Because sometimes, what we miss about a city isn’t the place.

It’s who we were when we lived there.

  1. You are absolutely astounding to be the writer of this most romantic piece. The only alternative is to buy a small piece of land near sea Coast and build a small house there and to spend each evening waves kissing your feet
