Healing through words 😄

If someone younger than me asked, “What’s the best advice you can give me?” I wouldn’t give them a lecture.

I’d probably sit beside them over a cup of tea and say, “Don’t be in such a hurry.”

I know it’s tempting to have everything figured out. The right career, the right relationship, the right house, the right life,all neatly ticking off a list.

I used to think life worked that way too.

But life has a funny habit of ignoring our plans.

Some things came later than I expected. Some never came at all. And some of the most beautiful moments arrived disguised as ordinarydays, family dinners, unexpected laughter and conversations I didn’t know would become memories.

So make your mistakes. Change your mind. Fall in love. Travel. Take chances. Save some money, certainly,but don’t save all your happiness for later.

Because later is not guaranteed.

One day, you may find yourself looking back and wishing you had spent less time worrying about whether you were doing life correctly and more time actually living it.

You will forget many of the things you thought were so important.

But you may remember the hand you held, the laughter around the dinner table, the journey you almost didn’t take, the hug you gave your mother, the evening you stayed up talking to someone you loved.

So don’t just build a life you can be proud of.

Build one you will miss when you look back. ❤️
