Whatโs something you used to worry about but donโt anymore?
There was a time when I thought I had to have everything figured out.
The perfect career. The perfect timing. The perfect words. The perfect version of myself.
I spent years worrying that if I made one wrong decision, life would somehow fall apart.
Then something unexpected happened.
Life ignored my plans anyway.
Some dreams arrived late. Others never arrived at all. A few disappointments quietly turned into blessings wearing different clothes. And the moments I tried hardest to control were often the ones that taught me the most.
Today, I worry less about getting everything right.
I no longer panic if people don’t understand me. I don’t lose sleep over being a few steps behind someone else’s timeline. I’ve stopped chasing the impossible idea of a flawless life.
Instead, I ask myself a simpler question:
“Does itย still matters toย me”
Most of the time, the answer is No.
That single question has saved me from hundreds of imaginary problems.
The truth is, growing older isn’t just about collecting birthdays. It’s about learning which worries deserve a seat at your table and politely asking the rest to leave.
If I could whisper one thing to my younger self, it would be this:
“Your life won’t be defined by the things you worried about. It will be defined by the moments you were brave enough to keep going despite them.”
Maybe that’s what peace really looks like not a life without problems, but a heart that finally knows which ones are worth carrying.
So, worries no longer have power over me.
“Peace begins the day you stop trying to control tomorrow and start trusting today.”
