Whatβs one thing you wish you had started doing earlier in life?
I wish I had started enjoying the little things earlier in life.
A cup of tea without rushing.
A sunset without checking the time.
A conversation without looking at my phone.
A holiday without worrying about what comes next.
For years, I thought happiness was waiting somewhere ahead, with more time, fewer responsibilities, and a perfectly peaceful life.
But life had other plans.
One ordinary morning, I sat by the window with my tea. The sunlight fell gently across the table, birds were singing, and for once, I wasn’t planning my next task.
I simply sat there.
And strangely, it felt like enough.
That morning taught me something I wish I had learned much earlier:
Happiness doesn’t always arrive with a celebration. Sometimes, it is already sitting quietly beside you.
If I could go back, I would tell my younger self:
βDon’t wait for life to become perfect. Enjoy it while it is beautifully imperfect.β

Thanks for sharing. Within you is everything you’ve been waiting, discover it, curate it , share with those that are tuned it to you. Life is good when we have the right perspectives, especially taking pleasure in small things nature has given us free.

True. We spend so much time waiting for happiness that we forget to notice it when it is already there. π

So true π Happiness usually isn’t hiding somewhere far off β it’s in the small, ordinary moments we rush past. Thanks for putting it so well!

Yes Madam, if in future I seem to be wrong in any of my comments, I ask for apology now itself, please don’t get immediately & unexpectedly offended π

I appreciate the gesture, but I’d rather we address things directly when they come up rather than assume upfront how I’ll react. Let’s keep the conversation open and respectful on both sides.πΉπ

That’s what I requested, to respect mutually. Certainly nothing will happen but my academic influence sometimes shadows practical aspects, I straightway allude to a literary work or assume to be a character in the appropriate sense but until you ask what was the reference, suddenly suppose you just don’t like, my request was to keep it open for mutual discussion. Actually there was no need to write that to you. Now it’s ok

That’s completely fine , I understand, and I do enjoy the literary references too! Let’s just keep the conversation open like you said. All good on my end π
