    If I Could Borrow a Life for Seven Days.

    If you had to switch lives with a fictional character for a week, who would you choose?

    If someone gave me a strange little offer,

    “You can live as any fictional character for one week. Choose carefully.”

    —I wouldn’t choose a queen.

    I wouldn’t choose a superhero either. Honestly, I’m not sure I’d survive a week of saving the world. 😄

    I think I would choose Anne Shirley from Anne of Green Gables.

    Just for seven days.

    I want to wake up somewhere green, where the mornings smell of grass and old wooden houses. I want to walk along a quiet lane with my imagination running faster than my feet.

    I want to be the girl who can turn an ordinary puddle into a lake, a tree into a friend, and a difficult day into a story worth remembering.

    For one week, I wouldn’t want a more glamorous life.

    I’d want a more magical way of looking at my own life.

    I’d spend afternoons talking endlessly, laughing at things that probably aren’t funny, making dramatic plans that may never happen, and finding beauty in places everyone else walks past.

    And then, after seven days, I’d have to return.

    Back to my own bed.
    My own routine.
    My own wonderfully imperfect life.

    But perhaps that’s the secret.

    Maybe we don’t really want to exchange lives with fictional characters.

    Maybe we simply want to borrow their way of seeing the world and bring a little of it home with us.

    Seven days would be enough.

    Because I already have a life I wouldn’t want to lose.

    I’d just like to see it through Anne’s eyes for a while. ❤️

    3. It would indeed be nice to experience that childlike wonder for a while and allow it to remind us of the beauty and magic of seeing the world through the eyes of a child.

    4. Anne Shirley for a week? 😄 After your choice, I am beginning to think you would happily turn every ordinary day into a story. Just be careful, seven days as Anne may leave you refusing to come back to reality! 😂

      • Honestly, that’s the risk I’m willing to take! 😄 Between the imagination, the dramatics, and calling everything “kindred spirits,” I might just never want to leave Green Gables. Guilty as charged on turning ordinary days into stories!
