    The Silent Patient: A Story That Refused to Stay in the Book

    What’s a book you never finished but still think about?

    Some books you read, enjoy, and eventually forget.

    And then there are books that quietly stay somewhere in your mind.

    For me, one of those books is The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides.

    I remember reading it with that slightly restless feeling you get when a story has given you a question you desperately want answered. Alicia Berenson stops speaking after a shocking incident, and from there, the silence itself becomes part of the mystery.

    I won’t give away the story because some books deserve to be discovered without spoilers.

    What stayed with me wasn’t just the plot. It was the feeling the book left behind: that uneasy little question of how well we really know another person… and how much can remain hidden behind silence.

    Even after finishing it, I found myself thinking about certain moments and looking at the story differently.

    That, to me, is the mark of a good read.

    Not necessarily a book you can remember every detail of, but one that occasionally comes back to you when you least expect it.

    Some stories end when you close the book.
    Others keep talking long after the last page.

    The Silent Patient is one of those for me.
