What’s your home decoration style?
Whenever someone asks me, “What’s your home decoration style?” I never know how to answer.
It isn’t farmhouse. It isn’t Scandinavian. It isn’t luxury.
If I had to give it a name, I’d call it “lived-in happiness.”
My favourite decoration isn’t expensive furniture or perfectly matched cushions. It’s the tiny things that quietly tell a story.
The chipped mug that somehow became everyone’s favourite for morning tea.
The old clock that runs two minutes slow but has greeted every visitor for years.
The little plant that survived being forgotten more times than I’d like to admit.
These are the things that make a house breathe.
I’ve visited beautiful homes that looked like magazine covers, but I often remember the homes where a child’s drawing was still on the fridge, where books were stacked without colour-coding, and where laughter seemed to linger in every room.
A beautiful home doesn’t need to be perfect.
It only needs to feel like the people who live there.
So my decorating style isn’t about following trends.
It’s about leaving enough space for life to happen and letting those moments become the most beautiful decoration of all.
