If you could erase one trend from history, what would it be?
If I could erase one trend from history, it wouldn’t be a fashion craze or an outdated invention.
It would be our endless need to always be right.
Think about it. How many friendships have ended because no one wanted to say, “Maybe I was wrong”? How many family arguments lasted for years because pride spoke louder than love? Even history is filled with conflicts that grew because people refused to listen.
Being right can feel satisfying. But understanding someone else is often far more valuable.
The people I admire most aren’t the ones who win every argument. They’re the ones who ask questions, listen with an open mind, and aren’t afraid to change their opinion when they learn something new.
Imagine a world where curiosity mattered more than being correct. Where conversations replaced arguments, and learning was valued more than winning.
Perhaps history would have looked a little kinder.
And maybe our future still can.
